Location

On the anterior aspect of the forearm, between the tendons of the palmaris longus and the flexor carpi radialis, 2 B-cun proximal to the palmar wrist crease.

How to find it

Three finger-breadths above the wrist crease, between the two tendons that stand out when the wrist is flexed against resistance.

Functions

Unbinds the chest, regulates Heart qi, harmonises the Stomach and stops vomiting, calms the spirit.

Contraindications & precautions

Attention Avoid the median nerve; an electric sensation means the nerve was touched.

Technique

Perpendicular 0.5–1 cun.
